Located in Brentwood, lies the famous Getty Center which is known for it amazing architecture, beautiful gardens, and historical art. I decided to take a visit to the museum for the first time this weekend and spent about 5 hours observing the art exhibits and the visitors in the museum. The best part about this museum was that it was free, even though I had to pay 15 dollars for parking… The J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center is known to hold some of the finest art pieces of human history including Vincent van Gogh’s famous oil painting, Irises. The museum exhibits many beautiful drawings, paintings, furniture, and sculptures of the European pre-20th-century era, as well as American and Asian art from the 19th and 20th century. The environment is very peaceful and full of life, making the Getty Museum a go-to place for people that understand and respect art. Need a break from art? No problem! The Central Garden, located right in the heart of the Getty Center, is the most surreal garden you will find in Los Angeles. Its walkway is designed to bring you an experience full of senses and intimacy by carving the smells, sights, and sounds with a stream of water that flows through out the plants and the cool ocean breeze. The architecture itself is just as amazing as the art it holds inside and if you are interested in finding a new way to meditate then go check out the Getty Center!
